The
Learning Content will include periods and events in World History where
civilizations experienced dramatic changes.
These periods are known as the Neolithic Revolution, the Commercial
Revolution, Reformation, Exploration, Scientific Revolution, Political
Revolutions, Industrial Revolution, World War II, Cold War I, and
Post-Cold War. Students will gain greater knowledge of the causes of these
events and what effects it had on civilizations which resulted in
historical changes. They will
also gain experience in reading outside resources and building upon
research skills. In order for
the students to be successful with this learning content, they must have
basic understanding of human nature and needs.
They will also need to know how to access their folders, navigate
to and from different Windows, and how to save and print their work.

Its purpose is to acquaint students with an often overlooked part of human history: the role of women in global human societies and their impact on world cultures throughout history. The topics include little known women and their accomplishments from early civilizations to about 1750.The project addresses the New York State curriculum by stressing an analytical view of world cultures through research skills and extensive writing assignments. Students need to have mastered basic research skills and have a working knowledge of the major historical trends in Global Studies (grades 9 and 10).This project should be completed in three weeks. |

Students will use this project to review the most significant of these constitutional principles. They are directed to use a web search to review their understanding of each element. The review requires students to complete various tasks, including viewing video clips, class discussions and written responses. |
