Stars and Stripes Internet Activity Project Information This is a hunt designed for 4th-6th grade students as an enrichment project for a Social Studies unit on American History
Civil Rights Information Hunt Internet Activity Project Information The purpose of this project is to have students research answers to basic questions related to the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950’s-60’s.
Sacajawea Internet Activity Project Information

Students will be working in groups of four to enhance their appreciation and understanding of the book, Sacajawea, by Joseph Bruchac.  Each study group contains a geographer, a historian, a Native American tribal expert and a naturalist.
The purpose of the project is an understanding of cultural and geographic elements affecting the Lewis and Clark expedition. A variety of literary genres including memoir, myth and legend, journaling, primary documents, and historical fiction will be studied as well.
Students will begin with personal journaling and class discussion about cultural diversity and Native American lifestyle in contrast to attitudes of Anglo explorers. 

The Great Depression Internet Activity Project Information The purpose of this project is to build upon the basic understandings already covered in class regarding the Great Depression.  Students will have the opportunity to view and hear primary sources from this time in history. Specifically, this will provide students with a study of the human face to economic suffering. Students will have the option to complete this activity in the computer lab, our classroom computers, or from home.
The Negro Baseball League Internet Activity Project Information The students using this activity will be part of the eighth grade social studies program.  It will correlate with the eighth grade English unit about expressing feelings of discrimination and baseball through poetry.  It will also provide a correlation with Amsterdam’s participation in the Cooperstown Negro Baseball League videoconference. 
Brunelleschi and Architecture Internet Activity Project Information Students will learn about the life and works of the Renaissance architect, Filippo Brunelleschi, and the construction of domes. A variety of activities listed on the task page provide teachers with the opportunity to select appropriate lessons for individual classrooms.
Europe in the Middle Ages Internet Activity Project Information This is a web-enhanced lesson that will  students to learn many things about the Middle Ages. 
Math/History Treasure Hunt Internet Activity Project Information This project allows students to learn how mathematics was discovered in different civilizations throughout time.
Ancient Wonders of the World Internet Activity Project Information The Ancient Wonders of the World Treasure Hunt will allow students to discover and explore the seven ancient wonders of the world.  Internet resources will be used to solve the clues that follow on the Student Activity Pages.  Upon completion, students will choose one of the structures as a favorite and complete the final project.  
Civil Rights Movement PowerPoint Project Information

This is a Power Point Presentation designed to build understanding of The Civil Rights Movement.  A cooperative project is included which suggests that students should interview someone who attended a segregated school and record the interview with a power point slide show.  

Exploring Ancient Rome in Spain Internet Activity Project Information This project provides students with the opportunity to explore the extent to which the Roman Empire expanded within Spain.  It explores various Roman cities, buildings, and people in and pertaining to Spain.  It is to be used to increase their historical and cultural awareness.
Neighborhood Study PowerPoint Project Information This Multimedia project involves the researching of your own neighborhood 100 years ago.  Students will keep a journal and develop a video about their topic.  Activities include visiting a variety of the different neighborhoods to discover local politics, family roles, famous people, crime, technology and more.  This project focuses on Albany Neighborhoods, but could easily be adapted to your own area. 
Can you Survive? PowerPoint Project Information In this Power point presentation you will discover if you can survive in five different regions of the world.  This project is inter-disciplinary and includes a large selection of fun activities.  
Westward Experience PowerPoint Project Information In this Power point presentation you will learn the difference between primary and secondary sources, and use this information to search the web for information on Westward Expansion.  Students will search for historical documents, complete journal entries, learn about scale drawings and explore literature of the Southwest.

Asian Philosophies and Religion Internet Activity Project Information The students will use computer technology to look up information.  The students will be looking up the answers to questions on Asian philosophies and religions.  The questions ask the students to recall, explain, and compare information that is given to them from the sites.  The topics include Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Legalism, and Shintoism.  The students need to know how to read and know how to use the Internet and basic computer skills.  This hunt is a 1 – 2 period assignment depending on the abilities of the students and the length of your class.
